A New Jewel in Old Havana
Elvira mi amor is a Boutique Hotel located in a 1920’s building restored to show the splendor of Havana in those years.
The hotel project was developed in collaboration between Cuban architects, designers and artists with the goal of creating a space that can only exist in Havana, Cuba.
The colonial base of the property is mixed with a risky and modern architecture in which volumes were added in which volumes were added in which the materials and textures stand out.
Most of the furniture is original design pieces from the 1950s, which are combined with a landscaping project created in conjunction with local farmers to generate spacious and tropical environments with all the comfort of a luxury hotel.
In addition, the hotel houses one of the only private collections of contemporary Cuban art to be found on the island, curated in collaboration with Galería Continua and will host multiple cultural events throughout the year such as jazz concerts, poetry readings and art exhibitions.
