There are so many incredible creatures pre-dating human history who call this rainforest home. Whether you are an avid birdwatcher with many more feathered wonders left on your wish list, or are hoping to catch a glimpse of one of the majestic cats who slink down to the river for a drink, this is the place for you. It would be impossible to see everything there is to be seen here in the span of even one lifetime alone! The local Kichwa people have belonged to this territory for upwards of 500 years, and know the jungle’s secrets like the back of their hands. Is nestled on a small ridge at the edge of a great jungle lake surrounded by beautiful pristine Amazon rainforest. Designed for nature lovers who want to experience the Amazon's unique landscapes and observe beautiful wildlife.
FACILITIES
FOOD SERVICE : The food service is based in a combination of local and international cuisine, with a complete variety of exotic fruits and organic products.
DRINKING WATER : We have a water purification system, this treated water is used for showers and toilets for the cabins, we strongly recommend to our guests not to drink the water of the lagoon or tap water. You can find drinking water in the dispenser located in the restaurant of the Ecolodge, and also in the jars provided in each cabin, plus a variety of drinks available at the bar of the restaurant.
ELECTRICITY : The energy in the Napo Wildlife Center Ecolodge is generated by silent power plants of high efficiency, these engines provide electricity 24/7. In addition our Ecolodge has electric plugs of 110 v. in each cabin and in the social areas (restaurantbar)
GARBAGE TREATMENT : The garbage is classified and separated into organic and inorganic. This allows the treatment process to be efficient and avoids contamination.
COMMUNICATION : Satellite WiFi is available for a small fee, for the whole stay.

The Napo Wildlife Center is a good example eco-tourism projects. The community has invested in an environmental and unique system, probably the best and most advanced of the Amazonia. All waste water is processed to maintain the swamps clean. Also the energy is generated by solar panels, industrial batteries and silent generators, which is an efficient system with minimal environmental impacts.

Our Activities

FOREST TRAILS
There are big chances for you to see a great variety of wildlife such as insects, birds, reptiles and mammals. Some typical animals you may watch in the jungle are: anacondas and other snake species, spiders, giant armadillo, birds such as hoatzins, macaws, toucans, parakeets, parrots as well as monkeys, tapirs, ocelots, etc.

CANOPY OBSERVATION TOWER
Get a close up view of the jungle and its diverse flora and fauna. This 36 meters observation tower was built just next to a huge tree and it offers you the best view of the Amazon Rainforest. Observe flocks of colorful birds flying and the magnificence of the trees, flowers and nature the Amazonia gives us.

CANOE RIDING
Explore the black waters of the Anangu Lake and the Napo River creeks on board of a motorized or paddle-canoe! In the river, creeks and lakes of the Amazon jungle we can find hundreds of different aquatic animals such as fish, caimans, turtles, piranhas and giant otters.

PARROT CLAY LICKS
Are the most stunning nature spectacles to see in the Amazonia. These are natural banks containing great amount of minerals that birds and different animals feed up with. This event starts early in the morning when hundreds of vibrantly colored birds visit the licks.

INTERPRETATIVE CENTER
Learn about the Kichwa Anangu community traditions and culture of the Napo Wildlife Center hosts. Women of the community will welcome you with typical dances, rituals, handcrafts food and drinks.

More than 610 bird species inventoriedwithin the Yasuni National Park, give thevisitors the best experience in bird watching, an unforgettable adventure inthe most biodiverse place on earth.
