YACUTINGA LODGE

Two hours from the world famous Iguazú Falls, Yacutinga Lodge and it’s wild life Reserve, is located deep in the pristine part of the Misiones jungle, almost entirely surrounded by the upper Iquazú river, - the same river that curves through the National Parks of Argentina and Brazil, and continues to flow southward to form a gigantic horseshoe, that becomes the majestic waterfalls.
At Yacutinga, the immeasurable force of nature touches the tourists that come together from around the world with the expectation of seeing the miracle of life itself. Delight, respect, admiration, and a strong magical feeling that leaves you wordless, is repeated with each experience.
Amongst the green, the lodge is a comfortable shelter in complete harmony with the environment. The buildings, with soft, rounded lines, accompanied by natural terrain slopes, blend in perfectly with the environment. Materials collected from the site, such as rocks and fallen trees were included in the design, strengthening the conservation philosophy of the enterprise.
Those who want to live this experience, participate in a diversity of activities guided by ecologists and native Guarani people. Our guides have a high level of training in the interpretation of nature and its processes. The invitation then, is to come to the site to learn, understand, care for and preserve the nature and its inhabitants; and thus build bridges of love and commitment. And even if what has been lost cannot be recovered, the challenge is to preserve what remains, the source that guarantees our existence on earth.

IGUAZU FALLS

The Iguazu Falls are certainly the most beautiful in the world located in a lush vegetation of Subtropical Rainforest. This falls are protected by the Iguazu National Park ( Argentina and Brazil). It is a majestic freak of nature , they become a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. There are more than 275 powerful cascades some of tqhem reaching up to 75 yards high spreading thousands of cubic meters of water from the Iguazu River. Without a doubt a fascinating spectacle. This natural setting , where they are still vestiges of old Jesuit missions , is presented to the visitor as one of the most wonderful natural experiences.
The Waterfalls can be explored on foot, as there are circuits with easy access walkways built for that purpose. Crossing bridges , stairways and paths full of greenery, enjoy the magnificent views from below and from above to reach the highest point of astonishment : The Garganta del Diablo. Is worth closer to perceive the magnificence of the falling waters . This cliff of over 90 yards tall proposes a surprising scenography .
In addition to the Garganta del Diablo , there are several magic cascades; they are Bosetti , Two Sisters , San Martin , Eve and Adan, Three Musketeers and Rivadavia.
During full moon nights rangers from the National Park system conducted special trips to delight visitors with the several rainbows formed by the myst and moonlight of the noisy Jungle.

PRIVATE NATURE RESERVE

Yacutinga Lodge is not just an ecotourism project located in the Argentine Jungle. We believe that there is an important worldwide need of protecting nature while generating an economical income. At Yacutinga we are doing it. The ecotourism activity is one of our economic stilts, but there are also other sustainable projects, which are being developed in the Yacutinga area.
With the biological and technical support of the Fundación Vida Silvestre Argentina (WWF asociated organization) and the outcomes of the researches that have taken place at the Yacutinga Biological Station we are conducting different projects to create a general use of our Private Reserve without spoiling Nature.
Since the start of the project we have been concerned about minimizing natural impact generated in the environment of the area. At the same time, we had to find a balance between the use of surrounding Nature and fine-tuning of an excellent ecotourism service.
